Recent Project  Highlights

Mid-Sized Technical Installation Company
the Netherlands

This technical installation company commissioned a Data and Analytics Scan to overhaul its existing data situation and define a path forward.

Key Business Results & Impact:

  1. Process Efficiency: Achieve a projected saving equivalent to 5 FTE by automating manual processes and streamlining reporting.

  2. Cost Optimization: Realize annual savings exceeding €100kin license costs through careful analysis and optimized usage of the BI solution.

  3. Future-Proof Technology: Migrate to a stable, scalable Microsoft Cloud Solution (Azure, Synapse) to replace fragmented and outdated systems, ensuring a modern data infrastructure.

  4. Trust and Compliance: Establish Data Governance and introduce a Data Steward role to ensure data quality, clarify data ownership, define standardized metrics, and achieve automated GDPR (AVG) compliance, minimizing major financial and reputational risks.

Data Strategy

$60B+ global agriculture network

the Netherlands

The D&A projects in this program were supporting the M&A activities. The mandate was to ensure the successful separation and integration of data analytics capabilities while navigating an immature planning environment and complex technical scope.

Top 4 Deliverables & Strategic Impact

  1. M&A Compliance & Closure: Achieved on-time delivery of all strategic data splits and integrations, enabling the divestment and merger activities as required by the EU and executive management.

  2. New Data Infrastructure: Successfully implemented a scalable, segregated data backbone using Snowflake (Data Vault) and launched new Tableau reporting, establishing a post-merger analytical foundation.

  3. Legacy System Integration: Managed the complex process of integrating high-value, high-risk legacy data into the new company's GCP (Google) environment.

  4. Program Control & Maturity: Established functional financial and capacity planning tools and discipline, mitigating execution risk and raising the organizational maturity level of the delivery function.

Program Management D&A

2

Major, family-owned Automotive Supplier

Germany

The company was struggling with fragmented, highly inefficient Excel-based reporting and lacked a "single point of truth," creating significant risk in operational steering and decision-making. The core task was to rapidly design and implement a comprehensive data strategy (Process, Organization, Technology) to achieve data self-sufficiency and establish a permanent, fully operational Data & Analytics capability, overcoming a critical local talent shortage.

Top 5 Deliverables & Strategic Impact

  1. Unified Data Platform Launch: Designed and delivered a complete modern Data Analytics Platform (MS Azure, Synapse, Power BI), successfully transitioning the company from reliance on Excel to a unified, technical reporting basis.

  2. Global Talent Hub Establishment: Solved the critical local talent shortage by establishing a foreign IT-Hub. This allowed the company to recruit and scale a permanent team of Data Engineers, Scientists, and Architects, ensuring long-term self-sufficiency.

  3. Governance & Compliance: Established and implemented crucial Data Governance guidelines and EU-DSGVO (GDPR) compliant processes, ensuring data quality, legal compliance, and defining a "single point of truth" with aligned KPIs.

  4. Operational Team Setup: Created and deployed a fully operational, permanent Data & Analytics team, integrating ITIL support processes and adopting an incremental DevOps methodology (Scrum/Kanban) for efficient, high-velocity report delivery.

  5. Strategic Roadmap: Created the foundational complete data strategy and roadmap (Process, Organization, Technology) and led the entire software selection process, providing a multi-year blueprint for continuous digital maturity.

Data Transformation

3

Large Bank

Germany

This project was highly complex due to the intersection of stringent EU-GDPR rules, strict German DSGVO, and traditional banking secrecy regulations. The task was to spearhead a cross-functional team of legal, technical, and business experts to implement all necessary GDPR measures into the DWH architecture.

Top 5 Deliverables & Strategic Impact

  1. Full Regulatory Compliance Achieved: Successfully achieved full DWH compliance with both EU-GDPR and German DSGVO laws. All new processes and scripts received final legal approval from BAFIN (German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority), external accountants, and editors.

  2. "Right to be Forgotten" Framework: Developed the comprehensive business concept (Fachkonzept) and framework for the Right to be Forgotten, detailing legal retention obligations, data purpose, and granular access control.

  3. Automated Deletion Process: Designed and implemented automated, auditable deletion and pseudonymization processes within the Data Warehouse, ensuring personal data was anonymized or purged according to retention policies.

  4. "Right to be Informed" Processes: Created legally approved processes and automated scripts to fulfill the Right to be Informed, providing data subjects with comprehensive, accurate information on their stored data, purpose of use, and access history.

  5. Legal & Technical Bridge: Served as the key liaison, translating complex legal requirements (from the bank's legal department) into clear, actionable technical business requirements (Fachkonzept), ensuring accurate and efficient implementation.
